Anxiety … it’s only for weak, soft people, right?

It’s only for wallflowers, people with no initiative, people who are scared when you say boo, or dope-smokers having paranoia attacks, right?

Yes, the good ol’ Anxiety People – they’ll never get anywhere, they’re scared of their own shadow. In Jungian terms, indeed they are scared of their own “shadow”.

There is literally no such thing as a high achiever, someone who is moving mountains without a good big dose of anxiety/ workaholism/ unable to be still in their system.

So, these people who suddenly get overwhelmed by anxiety, and who find it suddenly takes over their mind and then attaches itself to pretty much EVERYTHING else in their lives, the one thing they can do when it comes to fixing thing terrible 24/7 monster known as anxiety, is to be able to afford it!

As they are usually successful movers and shakers, CEOs, business owners, lawyers, etc. People who mistake self worth with material richness and possessions … these are THE best clients for people who profess to be able to fix their anxiety.

These people are motivated to do it – they WILL work on themselves when the anxiety gets too much, for example when one business owner described the experience as “19 months of hell on earth”.

These people eventually have their burnout and go from action to massive inertia and depression usually in midlife to late life (ages 38 upwards is a good focus).

These people are obviously also very, very intelligent – whether its personal growth / spiritual growth / rehab crowd / addicts – these folks are always in the above-average intelligence ranks, so no cheap sales tactics, over blown promises … hardcore integrity is respected by them etc.

Catch 22 – they find it hard to take 1 week of from their vision, so therapists who offer anxiety-busting retreats need to focus on the fact that this is still the ‘silver bullet’ / quick fix even though 7 days seems like forever to them.

Put in a little bit of time now, save a lot of time in the future searching, stuffing around etc.

Time is the most valuable commodity, not money in reality – and these “Anxiety People” are conscious of that in a big way.

However a week out of one’s time for a treatment like cathartic breath work? In the end it makes sense.
